My Profile

My name is Davidson Cajes Chris, a first-year student in computer science. I am running for Course Rep candidacy, and my reason of volunteering to occupy this post is not merely by name, but because I want to serve my course mates and the entire student in the campus with my talent and time.

My top priorities

If you vote for me, I will bring positive changes, such as:

• Creating a meeting forum to help and support each other, both academically and otherwise as this will facilitate social interaction, especially during this time of uncertainty and seclusion caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
• I will always try to be there for you, help and assist wherever I can regarding your needs, also, to discuss your opinions, worries, requests, and bring feedback from the tutors and SU meetings.
• God willing, if the pandemic is over, we shall have a social gathering where we shall meet with each other to interact and discuss our affairs in close proximity. However, in the meantime, we shall keep close contact virtually online, sharing our experiences and worries.
• I will try to carry everyone along and make sure no one is left behind, especially in the areas of our studies and keep you updated any latest information.
• I will be committed to the welfare of the students I am representing, speak on your behalf and make your voice to be heard, solicit, and dialogue with appropriate authority to make sure your requests and needs are met.
• I will make sure extension is requested for and followed up whenever necessary, that is, in the event, some or majority of the student could not meet the deadline of submitting their assignments. I will run a democratic and an open-policy system, ready to dialogue with course mates and welcome opinions and suggestions.
• In our dictionary, there will be no such thing like racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, gender, or age discriminations.

Why should you vote for me?

I can say I have spent a better part of my life serving in one leadership position or the other. I have served as president, chairperson, coordinator, secretary, treasurer, financial secretary and public relation officer (PRO) in different organisations and communities. My record shows that I have not failed the people who entrusted me with such responsibilities. Therefore, I have the quality and experience needed not only to occupy the position but also to achieve and deliver the desired result.
