Joshua Hutchings

My name is Joshua Hutchings; I wish to become your course representative during our third year of International Business. I am passionate about supporting International Business to be the best possible course it can be, through hearing your voices and opinions and presenting these to faculty leaders, ensuring you get the most out of your remaining time at DMU. I also want to ensure your feedback contributes to refining the course for future International Business Students.

I’m deciding to run in my final year as I believe I have developed a strong understanding of our course, through my own experiences but also through listening to others. I believe I have the required skills for the role, as I have had a similar change-making position as a sixth form prefect in the past, where I listened to student feedback and reported to teachers and head of faculties, as well as organizing charity events.

Furthermore, through my time at university, I have become a good listener, vital when listening to your views, concerns and opinions. Likewise, I have also become a far more effective communicator, and believe I can confidently and effectively get your views, concerns and thoughts across to those who can implement actual change.
