Hi!
My name is Shivani and I am a masters student studying International Finance and Investment.
I graduated from DMU this year in Law and Economics with a year on placement and so I am able to empathise with the impact Covid has had on our education and the economic uncertainty in regards to employment. Given the current Covid situation, I am hoping to represent and support both UK and International students to achieve their goals, perform to their maximum potential and get the most out of their experience at DMU. I enjoy working with people from a range of cultures and backgrounds, I am able to empathise with people and a great communicator. I aim to address any concerns you may have- such as adapting to online lectures, how online delivery could be improved and whether it works for you, as well as any extra academic support you need and address uncertainty regarding examinations. I also believe it is important to keep you informed about career opportunities, company webinars, building career skillsets etc which would be relevant to your interested field and would love to action on any feedback which I can work on with the university.
