Charlotte Wright Manifesto – Year 3 Representative: Interior Design
Entering my Final Year of University I am extremely passionate about succeeding and achieving the best work possible, but not only for myself but also for my fellow students on the course, in order to set ourselves up for a positive future! I see our year group as a team; I know we all help shape each other as individuals and improve each other’s work for the better with our influences in seminar sessions or through feedback opportunities.
I am a good listener and have developed strong communication skills and essential organisation methods which I believe would make me a good candidate for this role.
I am always open to talking to people and I like to think I am approachable! I always make an effort to listen to people’s concerns and to engage with thoughts / discussions. I have the confidence to communicate these concerns to the appropriate University staff, no matter how complex the issue is at hand. I rarely switch off and can always be found with some form of device nearby ready to go, allowing me to pro-actively respond to emails or queries quickly and efficiently.
I would like to make a positive change and ensure people feel they are confident in what they are doing and the information they have been given. Especially in this unusual year where students, staff and the university are having to adapt to the most challenging of circumstances.
I am also interested in playing a part in helping provide our feedback in order to help shape the course for future academic years; even after our cohort as left the University.
I would just like to ensure everybody has the best University experience possible, particularly my fellow third year students who face a very daunting and unforeseeable future entering a post-global pandemic world and trying to find their feet in the industry. I believe everyone can get to where they want to be and I want to help people feel supported and driven throughout this time of great anxiety!
