Why I Want To Become A Course Representatitive
'As I enter my final year of university, I wanted to participate in an extra-curricular ‘activity’ that has its benefits to both myself and every student on the Media Production course, for our third year. This role will allow me to further develop my skills and solve issues by campaigning and organising online tutorials with the aim to be able to independently learn and advance the causes my fellow peers believe in. I am definitely the one to make everyone my friend, and I always listen and allow a diverse range of people, including academics in my ‘bubble’. During these difficult times, students want that voice, they want someone to listen to them and highlight their issues and make it clear to resolve and most importantly notify our fellow professors, who are above us. Substantially, I would like to focus on creating a group chat on content direction, weaknesses in any areas of media and finally enhancing CV skills after the whole class graduates to move forward. Lastly, I want to wish anyone who nominated themselves as a course representative good luck. I know and trust that I will make a great course rep as I am able to communicate and connect with others very easily online and in person considering the pandemic to support the students of De Montfort University.'
