My name is Alexander and I am putting myself forward to represent the 1st year students studying Accounting & Finance. I am a communicative and motivated individual who would relish the opportunity to represent the group.
Not only am I organised and empathic but I am willing to be an advocate for the ideas, suggestions and concerns that you as a student may have in our introductory year.
If you vote for me, I promise to:
- Communicate - I will set up a confidential route of communication to ensure you can share your views and concerns about our course and your aspirations for our student experience. I will communicate regularly with you about developments and about opportunities to influence decisions being made about our course. I will actively seek your views.
- Be impartial - I will ensure that what I communicate to our course leadership team represents all our views not just my opinions. I will give a balanced view and ensure that when decisions are being made, we are given time to gather our opinions together. I won’t allow myself to be expected to represent you with just my views of a topic.
- Be constructive - I will work to create the best experience for us on our course. I’ll do this by working collaboratively with our course leaders, by challenging them when needed, by being organised, and by seeking feedback from you. I will not only act on what needs to change, but also about what is working well that we really value and want to hold on to.
