Hi, my name is Mirco Sharma. I am a first year Undergraduate Mechanical Engineering student at DMU and I would like to run for this years’ elections to become the Mechanical Engineering Year 1 Course Representative.
I am a very approachable individual, as well as being humble, reliable, trustworthy and honest. I am also a good listener which would allow me to get a better idea of what other students have to say about any existing issues. I am a great team player, and I think that by working with my colleagues we can improve further and strive for the best achievements possible. The reason to why I am applying for this position is due to the fact that I always prefer taking responsibility and I am always looking to make an effective change or impact in any situation from work to education. I have also been a course representative and ambassador at my previous institution where I was successful in presenting fellow students’ ideas to faculty members. This is why I strongly believe I would be fit for the role as I would continue representing fellow students’ ideas and concerns to the correct authorities and ensuring that the concerns are acted upon efficiently.
If I am voted to be the Mechanical Engineering Course Representative for Year 1, I will make sure that:
- The students voice in regards to any concerns, teaching, student experience and quality for our course is heard.
- I will provide feedback or results from meetings attended by any of the faculty members, administration or students’ union.
