Maja Ferrari

My name is Maja Ferrari and I am standing to be elected as a first year Course Representative. I want this post because I strongly believe that students should have a voice and I want to ensure that all student voices are heard and represented. In my role, I would commit to the following:

  • Listen to all enquiries and to communicate these to the Student Union and Faculty.
  • Attend training, meetings and keep an open and honest line of communication.
  • Keep students informed on all information from the Student Union and Faculty.

I am very confident, dedicated and hard-working. I am bilingual, of dual nationality and I’ve lived in several countries. I also worked from the age of 14, all of which developed my confidence and communication skills. I do not shy away from conversation or dispute and so would effectively represent the student body and you.

To fulfil the varied requirements of the role, I would use my experience as the Prefect Coordinator at sixth form, a role requiring a similar skill set and duties. Therefore, I believe I have a good level of experience in this type of role and I could apply all these skills to this role and further them.

Especially during the current pandemic, open and honest communication is more important than ever. I understand that as first year students, many of us have questions, worries and concerns and we have the right to express these, be heard and get answers. I believe I can be a fantastic advocate for the student body, to help us as undergraduates and to help build a bridge between us, the Law Faculty and the Student Union.

I would relish the opportunity to represent you this year and be one of your Course Representatives.

Thank you,

Maja Ferrari.
