I'm lucky this a small course, so most of you will know me to an extent before reading this, in the unlikely event that anyone does. I'm a second year undergraduate studying Game Art, and I'm running because I know this course isn't running as smoothly as it could. As student rep I want to build off of what the reps did for us in first year- navigating communication between the teachers and with us at a time where it was difficult to know just what was going on with our classes in the midst of the pandemic, and even beforehand. I want to make sure that this year, it's the teachers that communicate with us, and far more clearly than last year's debacle. I know a lot of people aren't thrilled with how things have been handled, and honestly it's as much to do with external factors as internal, but it can still stand to be improved upon. Aside from this I want to make feedback for projects is consistent and constructive as that was another key missing element, for some modules more than others. I've spoken about issues to the course team before and in most cases they were receptive and helpful, and as student rep I can voice everyone's concerns and work out the best way to move forward to everyone's benefit. I've already proven to be resourceful and a good teacher to both the first years and those in my own year, and this time around I want to step up even more and make the course as accessible as I know it could be.
