Hi! I'm Shay and I'd love to become student representative again this year.
Last year, I learnt so much in my role. I am proud to say that this school has exceeded any expectation for what university could be like, from the people that I've met, relationships I’ve built, and things I’ve learnt. I feel proud about my choice to study here. However, as one once said, 'Just because something works doesn't mean that it cannot be improved.'
I feel that I'm a good fit for the role because during my first year of university, I have branched out and connected with people on a level greater prior to studying here, and I intend to continue to get involved and stay invested with everyone's needs and concerns moving forward in these unprecedented times.
Last year, I have tried my best to make your voices heard regarding improvements that should be made to our course and I'm please to say that we have been heard as we will be receiving feedback at the end of both semesters, rather than the end of the school year, allowing us to take in more in depth feedback and apply it to work going forwards.
I understand that some if not most of you felt disappointed with the feedback that you have received during last year. Therefore, my primary goal for this year would be to communicate with our lectures, showing empathy to their perspective on the matter whilst stressing the importance of informative critical feedback with guidelines on what’s working and what to do to improve moving forwards, motivating us to continue working hard earing those industry standard portfolios.
Lastly, I want both us, the students as well as our lecturers have a good, work relationship that’ll allow us to take-over the Gaming industry.
