Candidate for the position of Year 3 Representative:History - Rep

Anjali Kalyan

As this year's Second Year Course Representative, I have learnt many lessons regarding organisational as well as communication skills. In light of recent events, I feel that I have handled the situation in a calm manner, ensuring that all of my peers are coping well and if there any issues then I prioritise and email the appropriate member of Faculty as soon as possible. I believe that this role is perfect for me as I will be able, once again, act as one of the voices of my course. I ensure that I will always put their needs before my own and will help to promote our course as attractive and fascinating. Through this role, I have created many relations with those on my course and am aware that I am someone that is approachable and easy to speak to. I hope to work alongside members of staff and ensure that myself my peers are happy, and look forward to hopefully working alongside the other Course Representatives to collectively make good decisions. I am professional and mature, yet I feel that I am very understanding, hence why I see myself as the Third Year course representative for my final year at DMU.
