To me a course rep is a bridge between students and lecturers. It is often the most efficient way for lecturers to gain feedback regarding their modules and to gain student feedback. My name is Tolu Egberongbe and I am the perfect candidate for course rep. I am approachable and ready to listen to concerns that arise. Furthermore, I am able to effectively relay all concerns and suggestions that are made to the university to improve how we are being educated and how we can better the learning environment.
Previous experience that I have is that during college I was part of the school council, which meant that we had regular meetings with our principal, thus relaying the feedback received from students to our principal. This meant that the gap between students and the staff leadership team reduced due to an increase in communication. By being a course rep, I hope to improve my leadership skills as well as communion skills.
