Hello! I have absolutely loved my time as a second-year course rep; this opportunity has allowed me to boost my confidence and connect with many of you - something I could not imagine this time last year!

This academic year I have:

  • Always been there to listen to any concerns and acted upon them accordingly

  • Delivered a number of presentations on feedback discussed within meetings, ensuring everyone is kept up-to-date on any changes, etc

  • Launched a WhatsApp group chat & course-specific society to tackle feelings of loneliness and prioritise our own wellbeing

  • Implemented a lateness rule based on student feedback - a rule which is fair for everyone and caters to all circumstances

  • Accompanied students to meetings with lecturers to act as an advocate

  • Worked alongside module leaders to ensure any arrangements do not put students - who are parents, have caring responsibilities and long-term illnesses, etc - at an unfair disadvantage

And I would love to do all of that again!

If re-elected, I will continue to deliver on any concerns you may have and keep you updated on any developments. I will make sure the voices everyone - including parents and carers - are heard, and that nobody is put at a disadvantage. I will run regular drop-ins within a safe space to maximise opportunities to provide feedback and so you feel adequately supported. University should be enjoyable for everyone, regardless of circumstances - voting for me will ensure that it happens!
