I am putting myself forward again for the role of course rep for Maths this year as I have represented you over the past 2 years. It has been really enjoyable to attend meetings with staff and to get an inside perspective on what goes on behind the scenes - especially as I aim to become a teacher myself after completing university. I think continuity, on your views and opinions of the course is important, so we can continue to discuss any ongoing issues with the course. As you have seen, the concerns we have had so far, I have helped find the answer to.

I have been working in a college environment this year and have experience working with teachers and other staff members, and have had student voice roles while in education in the past. I am also Disabled Students’ Representative for the whole university population and regularly attend meetings to help express students’ voices. I am confident having spoken publicly in the past. I believe that a student voice is crucial for improving the course and actually, enhancing our learning experience and enjoyment of the course.

I believe it is important for us to strive towards a perfect situation in which both staff and students are pleased and happy with the course and it's content - to achieve that constant feedback is key in both directions and I feel I could provide that. We can work together to make our experiences here the best they can be.
