This is Swetha Sogana from Artificial Intelligence and Robotics branch. I had experience working as a lady representative in my college back home. I am also an NCC candidate who served and still helping old age homes. My joy and passion are all about bringing a good change in people's lives around me. I want to see the world without acid attacks, rapes, harassments, and violence. It is really a privilege participating for Women's Representative role which is not at all a simple task. Feminism is not about hating men, it is all about challenging the huddles, discriminations, harassments that still takes place. Gender equality and filling gender gap is in at-most need which I surely can think of changing. Let us all bring positive change for all the students.
WHAT CHANGES I WANT TO BRING :
- I will make sure that I will be a voice for everyone who cannot take stand for themselves due to pressures. We all will work in teams and encourage female students to participate in activities, women committees, campaigns, cultural and training classes.
- I will ensure to bring out all the hidden talents from fellow students by conducting campaigns on regional cultures and traditions. I will also work in partnership with the other Liberation Representatives and will take their opinions on the present and future issues.
- I will attend workshops, committees, Student Councils to engage with the female students and to know about their problems. I will be personally asking people to tell their issues and take opinions on women related issues like sexual harassment, health and mental issues.
- I will conduct workshops and encourage women communities to showcase their inner talents. I will conduct workshops on women empowerment by consulting great women which will help so many young minds to stand up and bring them that confidence and passion.
- I will conduct motivational classes for students with disabilities.
- I will make ensure that all the students are aware of women's support mechanisms. I will be taking all the decisions taking everyone in the frame with no personal gain.
- I will help affected women by working in teams by collecting funds. A small change can bring a lot of difference. I will arrange awareness campaigns on women's safety issues by discussing their problems personally.
