Hello , I'm Joanne Mulinda. Nominate me if you want someone who believes in equality for all and pledges to enact this by
- working closely with the Women's Representative, LGBTQ+ Representative in a bid for safe spaces and groups for women, LGBT and ethnic minorities and anyone who feels discriminated to come forward and express their plights so that they may be addressed quickly and efficiently and escalated to higher authorities if the problems are grave or widespread
- to try minimise stereotypes which are acted upon through educational schemes which victims can get involved in, ie; guest talks in lectures or just during the day.
- to raise awareness on helplines that are available for students to use
- to set up talks at least once a month in where anonymous questions can be asked to different sets of minorities ; ie the disabled , LGBT, vegans, ethnic minorities so that others can gain greater understanding of people struggles
- to make sure within the uni that all clubs, activities, societies are diverse and allow all groups of people to be included.
