Candidate for the position of Second Year Biomedical Science - Rep

Kwaku Yeboah

I am Kwaku Yeboah, A first year Biomedical Science Student.

Am from Telford around Birmingham, I studied Access Science at Telford College,

Am here standing for the position of course representative and I know it is a good decision because it is going to give me the opportunity to serve my fellow course mate.

A course representative is someone who represents his fellows on his course and bridges the gap of communication and understanding between his course mates and the lecturing staff by listening to their opinions on matters that concerns them on the course, their expectation from the lectures and how they think things can be done to help them to be successful on the course and also in a way represent the lectures as in bringing feedbacks from them to his fellows.

For someone to be a Course Representative, he must possess some qualities that would enable him to discharge his duties successful and as a rep for the first year has helped me gained more skills.

You must not show partiality or favouritism by listening to the ideas of a group but hear everyone’s concern.  As a course representative, you must be approachable so that others can come to you with their ideas.  You must be friendly by knowing how to talk with people.  As a course representative, you must be understanding, patient and reliable so that they can depend on you for their expectation to be met and also know how to communicate well with people.

I see myself with all this skills and qualities that I have mention above to be successful if you nominate me as your course representative for this first year.

I give you my words to stand for you, your interest and for the good of our course.    I promise
