Candidate for the position of Second Year Mathematics V2 - Rep

Harry Johnson

I am putting myself forward again for the role of course rep for Maths this year as I have really liked it this year. It has been really enjoyable to attend meetings with staff and to get an inside perspective on what goes on behind the scenes - especially as I aim to become a teacher myself after completing university. I think continuity, on your views and opinions of the course is important, so we can continue to discuss any ongoing issues with the course - which as of yet, there hasn't been many. However, if this was to change in the future then I am more than prepared to discuss this in the meetings I am obliged to attend.

I have been working in a college environment this year and have experience working with teachers and other staff members, and have had student voice roles while in education in the past. I am confident having spoken publicly. I believe that a student voice is crucial for improving the course and actually, enhancing our learning experience and enjoyment of the course.

I believe it is important for us to strive towards a perfect situation in which both staff and students are pleased and happy with the course and its content - to achieve that constant feedback is key in both directions and I feel I could provide that. We can work together to make our experiences here the best they can be.
