I’m Natalie and here’s why I would love to be your 2nd year course rep:

About Me

I am a thoughtful and cheerful person which I think makes me quite approachable, meaning that people would feel comfortable coming to me with any issues they find related to the course, giving everyone the chance to get the most out of our education. I am also a member of the Games Development Society (GDS), as I am very passionate about the industry. I am also highly punctual and obsessed with organisation, and will therefore always be able to present your voice at meetings.

My Goals

I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year on the course, however I feel that there are some aspects that could be improved:

•             Course representation: I feel that while we are an increasingly popular course, not much is known about us or what we do. To solve this, I have spoken with classmates and they have agreed that, we could put posters up of previous works, renders etc. in Gateway House to show off just how amazing we all really are.

•             Integration with the GDS: While the society exists as a form of extension from the course, it doesn’t feel that way. The GDS runs events such as industry talks that are not limited to members only, however people outside the society hear very little about these, even though they are beneficial to anyone interested in programming. I suggest that we advertise these and other events the course runs more through BlackBoard and social media.

•             Experience: I will most importantly strive to make the course enjoyable and beneficial for all.

Why Me?

Change is important, and so is having a say. I will dedicate myself to providing the student voice in aim to change the course for better.
