Welcome to my Manifesto
I am currently a year two Biomedical Science student and I would love to become a Course Rep in order to implement changes that will improve and better develop our course!
Why I believe I am a suitable candidate for the role I believe I am a suitable candidate for the role as I have had previous experience working alongside my peers and voicing their opinions as a Prefect and a sports captain. Having been on this course for two years, it is clear there are some areas that can be improved for us and for the years to come.
How will I make a difference in our Final Year?
I would be a pro-active and involved Course Rep and listen to all of your suggestions and voice them for you at the student course rep meetings. If elected, I will suggest ideas which will benefit both our course and us. Here are just some of the ideas I have:
? More support in terms of future career prospects (not just focused on NHS Biomedical Scientist and giving examples of past students).
? Ensuring effective personal tutor meetings in our final year focusing on our project and employability.
? Ensuring the even spread of coursework throughout a semester and trying to limit the number of deadlines that can be due in any given week.
? Implementing a system that will require continuous check-ups on groupwork to ensure all members are contributing to the same standards.
Furthermore, I will work closely with the Student's Union and the University to resolve any problems during your time studying Biomedical Science. As your Course Rep, I will be there for you in regard to any questions, issues and concerns you may be having.
