We know that sometimes your deadlines can be real monsters, especially if you are hit by severe unexpected circumstances.

That’s why all this week De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU)’s Welfare team and VP Welfare and Community, Keira Rounsley, are raising awareness of deferrals at De Montfort University (DMU) and what counts as an academic offence.

University rules allow you to ask for more time on your deadlines, be that a coursework extension or an exam deferral, but you must do it before it’s too late.

Get advice on the deadlines you need to meet and defeat those monsters!

Keira and her team of volunteers will be out and about in different faculties this week with freebies and their wheel of fortune. You can find them on campus as follows;

Monday – 2pm-4pm – Hugh Aston Atrium
Tuesday – 2pm-4pm – Hawthorn Building
Thursday – 2pm-4pm – Queens Building
Friday – 2pm-4pm – Clephan Reception

Come and speak to us at DSU Welfare or visit our online welfare hub to see how we can help you get the degree you deserve and banish those monsters for good!
