DMU students really are at the heart of everything we do and we want to make your time at DMU truly unforgettable!

We want to celebrate the festive season and all of the amazing things that your Students' Union has achieved this year with support from the university, and of course - all of you lovely lot! There are 10 massive things in particular that we'd like to share with you this festive season - so here is our #DSUFestive10.

Day 3 of #DSUFestive10 and it’s a biggie...all of the freebies and discounts you can get your hands on through us!

Just by being a student at DMU you can make the most of your student discount in a huge range of places just with your student ID...and as a DSU member you’re automatically a member of the National Union of Students (NUS) too!

That means you’re eligible for an NUS Extra Card which gets you brilliant deals on all sorts of services and up and down the high street. It’s not too late to get one now and save a packet on your Christmas shopping!

We’re also big pals with Leicester Tigers – we’ve got cheap tickets for all first team home games this season and we’ve given away hundreds of tickets to A-league games so far this season.

And on the subject of sport, if you’ve got a DSU Active Card you can save a tonne off your membership at DMU’s QEII Leisure Centre!

But of course the best time of year when it comes to freebies is Freshers. Did you know this year we gave away 500 ice creams, 3,000 welcome packs (including those snazzy FreshFest sunnies) and that’s not to mention the free Christmas pressies you can pick up during our #DSUFestive10 celebration! Add us on Snapchat at ‘LoveDSU’ for cryptic clues on where we will be giving away gifts to you this Christmas.

And if you’re still hankering over all those freebies, don’t forget Refreshers Week is just around the corner next term...

Comment below what you’ve picked up for free or with a massive discount thanks to being a member of your Students’ Union.
