I would like to nominate myself to become a Course Representative again for the forthcoming academic year. During my first year, I had ample opportunities to influence positive change for the BSc Biomedical Sciences course. As a Course Representative I worked closely with other reps to collate, communicate and engage with our students. In order to monitor and encourage feedback we created a WhatsApp group chat for our course. This was a brilliant opportunity for students to provide constructive feedback. As a committee we worked together to collate and manage feedback regularly which we present at the meetings every term. This was a good opportunity for us to discuss concerns and improvements with our lecturers as well as learn about how our course is evolving. Overall, our feedback has been taken positively by the academic staff and will be incorporated in future academic years. Personally, I have developed my teamworking, communication and time management skills which has helped me during my academic studies and made me a well-rounded student.
