I want to be year rep because I think I possess the necessary skills to excel in this role.
In previous years I believe I have been a good course rep, tring to help both tutors and my fellow coursemates. I very much value approachability and sociability factors that I will offer as year rep. Being able to form a good bridge between the department and students requires a good relationship with the students first to get a flavour of what they want. As someone who keeps in daily contact with not only the majority of students in 3rd year, but with students across different years, I maintain an honest and congenial relationship with them, thereby empathising with their changing opinions, which is why I would be suitable to convey these opinions as year rep.
Therefore not only will I provide a familiar face, but also a beneficial helping hand as I share a lot of the opinions of students. I will try my best to update any information provided as soon as possible, and I will always put forward all ideas, complaints and feedback to the relevant authority provided they are plausible and have the interest of the overall student body at heart.
