VP Welfare and Community Candidate

For a proactive and pain-free SU vote Nikki Payne

As a co-chair for the LGBT+ society for two years I have worked closely with the student’s union and I understand how to make change happen. I understand a wide variety of student needs and will listen to you and your needs. Leading a welfare society, I have driven it forward, winning the society it’s first award, and I have the passion and experience to do the same with the SU.

My Promise to you:

1.            Support for you!

Support when you need it most, including student carers, part time and distance learning, students facing homelessness and those needing financial support. No problem is too big or small, sorting it out early can make all the difference.

2.            A Healthy you!

A healthy student’s union with ‘Free fruit Fridays’ to encourage you to make healthy choices and help the wider student body exercise and eat right, not just those in sports teams. Healthy cheap recipes will be posted on the website weekly to inspire you to get cooking!

3.            A safe you!

A safe student’s union that builds confidence and respects you with events that amaze, inspire and showcase diversity of what is on offer. Being proactive about keeping you safe and helping you gain self-esteem and respect while studying.

4.            An SU for you!

Making every student feel a part of their SU, by having open house sessions each week to make it easy for you to contribute and shape the union through accessible information and information and action.

By being proactive rather than reactive I can ease your ‘Payne’ before crisis strikes and help you thrive at university no matter what, so please vote for me Nikki Payne to be your next Vice President Welfare and community.
