Reskill-Deskill is a project that provides advice and support within the creative industry, thus being able to support decent work, enabling aspiring creatives to make smarter decisions sooner will support economic growth. This will help reduce inequalities within the creative industry. Creatives supporting creatives will help build strong institutions as creatives ill be prepared to enter the environment whether they choose to stay or transfer their abilities.
The short-term project emerged from the pandemic, due to the job crisis that occurred during the pandemic. The creative industry’s job opportunities fell and job losses were significant. Discussion of Brexit already produced doubts however the pandemic a catalyst. Therefore, the project developed a podcast series speaking to professionals had advice to offer aspiring creatives.
