Occupational Health

Occupational Health is concerned with the effect of health on work and work on health.  DSU aims to protect the health of staff a promote a sense of wellbeing in conjuction with health and safety to prevent illness and injury in the workplace.

DSU is able to access the Occupational Health support service and the University provides which currently consists of two occupational health advisers, the support of a visiting Physician, external Pysiotherapist and the Employee Assistance Programme for counselling.  

If a Manager or a member of staff feels they need to access the Occupational Health support team, then please liaise with your Line Manager in the first instance or the POD Manager.  There is guidance available to help support through the process and this can be found below:-
