Thursday 27 January 2022 / 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Online

As part of your DSU Equality and Diversity Executive, Puja's goals for the year to offer group mentoring support for LGBTQIA+ students, the DSU are proud to announce our collaboration with De Montfort University (U.K.) and Georgia College (U.S.) to encourage like-minded students at both institutions to network and, explore various topics under LGBTQIA+ themes in a safe space.

Our first event is set to take place on the 27 January 2022 by 5.30 PM to explore "Why our friends don't come out?" and, how cultural differences between the U.S and the U.k. could affect individuals. Linking to the Superbowl on 13 February and Colton Underwood’s coming out in 2021, and, why there is only one openly gay footballer (soccer) in the world?

Calling all the LGBTQIA+ students and allies at DMU to come join us on the talk by registering yourselves to the event Meeting Registration - Zoom. The Zoom meeting details will be sent via email following the registration.
