Keep Universities for the Many - join the debate

Keep Universities for the Many is a campaign to engage staff and students in active, informed discussions about the future of higher education and DMU’s place within it.

With the level of tuition fees and the value and role of higher education key topics of public debate since the General Election earlier this year, a debate is needed to enable students and staff to have their say and to feed their ideas into the wider political conversation.

Outlined by the Vice-Chancellor in his staff address on the Monday 2 October, the campaign will begin with a series of talks each covering a different area of enquiry, leading to further discussion and debate.

This is your chance to get involved and start to influence the way we respond to the significant challenges facing the sector.

In November, there will also be a further Be The Change event, a two-hour panel discussion which will examine the various political attitudes to HE and the solutions each political party is offering.

In this event, the Vice Chancellor will give an opening address about the debate and why talking about this is so important.
