Hi everyone,
I want to be your course rep. (Very straight to the point, I know.)
Why do I want to be course rep and what do I have to offer?
I think being a course rep is a brilliant opportunity for me to firstly, get involved but secondly, for me to be the voice between us (the students) and the university. As your course rep I will do my very best to represent your academic interests, maintain and strengthen the student voice and also, to raise any concerns in which you may have.
I want law students to feel more involved in what goes on and for them to have more awareness about what opportunities that are available for them.
I believe that as students, we don’t use our voice enough. Over the summer I went on the DMU global ‘Youth As The Future’ trip and one of the key things I learnt was that we have all have a voice and at times we don’t use it for whatever reason however we are all activists and we need to be the change. For me, running for course rep is me trying to be that change and trying to use my voice to help people and to encourage others to speak up.
